This Northern hemesphere summer, NYC is installing a handful of giant 120ft waterfalls in the East River and under the Brooklyn Bridge. The art installation will be turned on fully tomorrow, but here are the first shots of the Brooklyn Bridge waterfall in action, taken during a pre-dawn test yesterday morning by photographer Vincent Laforet. It looks awesome. The waterfalls will be up for the next couple months, so be sure to walk across the Manhattan bridge and check them out if you’re in town.

“strangely compelling” Episode 1
In this weeks episode, we take a look at some Soviet-era folk dancing, with a twist..
Towards the end, I have a distinct flashback to the break-dance “Battles” in Electric Boogaloo. But that might just be me.
the douche card
These are too great. Keep a couple Douche Cards (US$5/package of 25 cards) in your wallet, and the next time that dude cuts in front of you at Starbucks, hand him one. Too easy.
