I’m so gay

I’m picking up my pre-ordered copy of Halo 3 tonight at midnight.
I am obviously not the adult I thought I was..
I am so ashamed.
(and a little bit excited)

Collector’s Edition Slinky

I need to buy me some stairs..
One of the most loved toys in the world goes back to its roots with this Collector’s Edition Slinky (US$8). Sporting the “dark metal” coloring of the original, this Slinky also comes in a box that features the original package design from 1945.
Is a stealth Slinky, a Stinky?
Probably not….

For Harry. Julian Dupont shreds in Paris

Harry and I were out riding on Sunday. One of us fell off TWICE!
One of us didn’t.
That’s all I have to say about that.
Enjoy….

Steinway Gets Into the Extraordinarily Expensive Speakers Market

model-d-1_48.jpg
Steinway & Sons might be best known for their pianos … some of the finest in the world … but now they’re looking to get into the living rooms of really rich guys who don’t play piano in addition to those who do. Hence their new “Model D” stereo system, a half-ton, U.S $150,000 behemoth that’s probably nicer than whatever iPod dock you’re currently using as a stereo. It’s really classed up by the piano lacquer that it’s finished with, and only 100 will be made and each will be tuned in-situ by company representatives to suit the unique listening environment it is placed in.
Hurry now, before they run out!

The Troja Arc.

jitc-design.jpg
troja_arc_lamp.jpg
The Troja Arc Lamp is so gorgeous we here at joshinthecity want to lick it. The huge, arcing lamp is designed by Germany’s hansandfranz studio and uses hundreds of individual LEDs in an adjustable aluminium frame to create a soft, unobtrusive glow. There is no information yet as to whether the Troja Arc will be available any time soon (or at all), the only thing we know is that it’s a must-have if you’re a brooding, warehouse-living armchair-blogger with obscene amounts of space and a flare for the dramatic.
