Ever wonder what it would be like to build a place on the top of a small building? That’s exactly what the Loft Cube (From US$111,000) was designed for — that, and people on the move. The Cube was designed to be a temporary living structure, which can be placed anywhere from rooftops in Berlin to a paddock in Dapto. The interiors are customizable by the client, as are the window treatments that decide whether you’re living in a glass house or in a glass house with nice blinds. This could be the new Joshinthecity Fortress of Stupidity. I just need to find a big-ass building,… and a plumber…and a helicopter….

iRobot has expanded its family of slave robots with the iRobot Verro, a new robot that will clean your pool while you point and laugh. The Verro features a powerful vacuum and filtration system that sucks up dirt, dust, algae, bacteria and particles as small as two microns (a human hair is about 70 microns). The bot cleans an entire pool in 60 to 90 minutes, and even improves the circulation of pool chemicals and water temperature, while reducing pool filtration system run-time. Two models are available to do your bidding — Verro 300 (US$800) and Verro 600 (US$1200).
I think I’m ready for my 2nd robot.. now, to put that pool in…

The Sopranos: The Book
With the first of the final nine episodes only days away in the US
, we’re just about in full-on Sopranos mode here. And what better way to get ready for the end than with this official book chronicling the best mob TV series ever created. The Sopranos: The Book (U.S$22) is the definitive behind-the-scenes story of the making of the show, with full access to the set, interviews with all of the main actors, more than 200 images, and a complete episode guide and food glossary. You’ll never look at the back room of Satriale’s Pork Store the same way again.
Truly a great movie.

Designed by Alessandro Mendini, the Alessi Luna Watch (US$95) reflects the calm of it’s namesake — the moon. It features a dark brown dial, a stainless steel case, and a dark brown leather strap that lends the entire watch a sense of serenity — only the red-orange hands break up the brown. Plus, if you’re a UPS driver, this will match the rest of your uniform perfectly.
If you don’t already own every season available on DVD, there’s something wrong with you.
Thank God for HBO. (and I’m not even in America)….
Here’s a taste of what you’re missing..
