Call me a tragic, but if there was a line to stand in, that’s where I would be.

According to CNET, Cingular [AT&T Wireless] has “confirmed” June 11 as the release date for Apple’s iPhone. Keep in mind that confirmation in this case is unofficial as it supposedly comes from a front-line sales support person. See, after a call to Cingular’s customer service, CNET was transfered to sales where they were told of the magical date. Of course, all this makes perfect sense as the 11th also marks the kickoff of Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference where Steve and Co have been proven keen to announce their wares before.

Tenacious D and Foo Fighters: Tribute

I had a band.
We did a perfect and rockin’ cover of this.

Please tell me this isn’t true. But…….
Pictures of Subaru’s new Impreza WRX have been leaked in an American car magazine almost two weeks ahead of its world debut at April’s New York motor show.
The photos have been electronically scanned from Motor Trend magazine and circulated on the internet, in the process breaking Subaru’s strict global embargo of Thursday, April 5.
Subaru spokesman David Rowley refused to comment on the validity of the pictures.
“The new-generation car won’t be unveiled officially until Thursday [5th April], New York time,” he said.
Motor Trend magazine’s official pictures confirm speculation that the Japanese car maker’s highly popular Impreza small car is making a radical styling departure from its traditional roots.
Subaru’s third-generation WRX takes the company’s design language in a new direction after the company admitted it was abandoning the controversial ‘fuselage’ corporate face used on the current WRX and Tribeca four-wheel-drive.

Dear god, It gets worse?
Starbucks has been on a downward slide for years quality-wise, exchanging solid product for McD’s-style viral growth, ubiquity and speed. Since it’s not enough that their crap coffee is on every corner in NY, they’ve decided to invade every room too, with a new automated vending machine co-produced with Pepsi that churns out your favorite poorly crafted “roasted coffee, various lattes, and hot cocoa.”
In truth, it’s not a far cry from the automatic espresso machines that reside on ” baristas’ “counters in Sbux already, so the decision to go full-blown automaton was probably an easy one.
Coffee is dead in the US, There’s one place that can make a coffee in the entire country in my experience.

Given that the last Leopard rumor we heard was that it’d actually be shipping early (like, this month), we’re not sure how much stock should be put in this latest one, but according to DigiTimes, the word from “industry sources” is that the OS has now been postponed, all the way ’till October. Supposedly, the delay is necessary in order to add support for Vista to the integrated version of Boot Camp, which those same sources say Apple wants so it can increase its chances of grabbing more of that coveted PC market share. While we can’t say if that’s true or not, we are fairly confident that this won’t be the last Leopard rumor we hear before its release, whenever that may be.
How is it that Microsoft can even fuck this up for us..?

American supercar maker aims to kick the Bugatti Veyron’s butt… this week
The challengers are lining up to knock off Bugatti’s ballistic Veyron, and the latest upstart is an ultra-niche American purveyor of supercars known as SSC.
Its contender is dubbed — perhaps appropriately — as the Ultimate Aero TT and it packs some seriously heavy-duty hardware. Try this for size: its twin-turbo 6.3-litre V8 punches out a ridiculous 870kW, and an even more absurd 1483Nm of torque (almost three times the quota of a 6.0-litre Holden Commodore SS).
SSC makes some bold claims for the Ultimate Aero, quoting a 0-60mph (0-96km/h) time of 2.78sec and a 0-100mph (0-160km/h) time of just 11.66sec. Its standing quarter mile time is claimed to be 9.90secs, with a terminal speed of 232km/h,
